Well until I can put together a montage of some of the pics and video clips from last weekend's steelhead outing...... I give you my current gear. 13' 7-8 Echo Classic Spey with Allen & Co. Alpha 9-10, and Allen spey line and my G Loomis 10' 8 wt GL with Allen & Co. XL 8 with 9 wt fast sink line.

The trip north and west was good and everyone except little L (4 yrs old) landed at least 1 steelhead. Even so, L had fun.

I will post more when I get the montage put together.

nice pics jabber
Nice looking reels. I just ordered the new Alpha 7/8. Its going to go on my carp rod and hopefully help me land my first fly rod carp this spring. I like how the Alpha holds a lot of backing and even though marketed as a mid-arbor design the arbor is as large as other reels marketed as large arbor.
This is such an amazing entry and I love to read
more of it so that I will be able to look over and
have it as an inspiration for further articles to
write about when it comes to updates on fly fishing
stuffs and it's pros and cons too. I do hope you
will get to visit our official website and let us
know what you think about it. Here is the link
